Frustrated with Net4India
For the first time, I tried hosting a website on net4india and I am so frustrated with their support system. There is an online chat system, which is offline for 24 hours. Maybe the image of online help looks cute on their website, so they have put up the Online Chat system.
I have requested them to give write permission to one of my folders and the request was sent on 25th September, today is 28th; so many support requests I have put, so many calls made; but nothing has been done so far. However they are quick to close your ticket and reply in a standard format “This is in reference to your query, we would like to confirm you that the appropriate measures have been undertaken. For any further assistance do contact us, on 39891414 (from Landline), from Mobile phone dial city code as prefix. ” It will be so good if they really knew what was the appropriate measure. I am not sure if their Support managers do look into the Support Ticket history and the call logs made by customer.
I am really doubting the technical capabilities of the support staff and the most funny thing is when you call to the support staff through phone and ask to countercheck their claim, the girl sitting there says “my tools are not working at the moment“. I wonder what tools she is talking about. I am still waiting for my query to be resolved. Will post about the progress.

Today I was going through my website stats, and I noticed that so many people land up on my site looking for ICICI fraud cases, scam cases or ICICI cheating cases. Well, from the volume of searches, it seems that people are really cheated by this bank, otherwise so many people would not have been searching the net on these keywords… there are so many other interesting keywords to search for and sites to check out.

After submitting the form on 9th September, finally on 17th September (Rojit’s birthday), I got the email that KidsandBibs has been nominated and is now listed online on the TATA NEN Award website for voting. I have been reading a lot of criticism about these awards as well, as the voting process has already started long time back. So for some of the companies who got nominated earlier, they get an advantage and they do rank high. This is the main concern among most of the nominees or the companies, who have withdrawn their nominations. Anyway I feel, it’s OK.. as long as you have people to vote for you. Since the award allows only one vote per user/mobile number, it should not make much of a difference.

Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of the Ganeshotsav festival. For 10 days the Ganpati festival is celebrated and it is the most popular festival in the state of Maharashtra. This year I was not able to visit any of the Ganesh pandals , as I was not well and was on bed rest, so I just prayed at home. When we were staying in Bangalore after my marriage, we also used to celebrate Ganesh festival, used to get the Ganesha idol at home, pray everyday and then do the visarjan. However, we have stopped doing it since last 2 years and we just visit the local pandals and pray there.
Photography - Flowers
I love photography, though I am not really good in that, but I enjoy taking photographs. Most of the time it is my son or it is nature. I love nature and whenever I visit any new city, I would first try to visit all the famous botanical gardens and the parks.

Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid
Yesterday, while working on one of my wordpress blogs, I forgot the password and was trying to reset it. But every time I used to click on the reset password link from the email, I used to get this error “Sorry that key does not appear to be valid”. I had the option of resetting the password through phpmyadmin. But I was looking for a quick fix and after some searching I found the easy solution and it did work for me.
