… plays a very very important role in today’s world.
I have been using facebook since a long time and out of curiosity i had also created fan pages for my sites. But i never paid much attention to it, till a few weeks ago when i came across so many articles and posts related to facebook pages. So i decided to start fresh and use the facebook fan page to market the site. Infact i went ahead, created ads also with daily budget of xx$ ( they have the option of paying in INR also), but i was so eager to get it going, i just went ahead with the USD currency. So far the page is doing good.. every monday i get an update on my cell and my email, about the dollars being spent for the week. Well most of the ad spend is recovered through the contest entry fees and i am happy with the reach of this social media.
When it comes to marketing, i think the best(not sure.. maybe the most popular) online marketing medium is Google Adwords. So one night while checking out my web statistics and with a few adwords coupon code in hand, i planned to run a few ad campaigns on Google too. Was browsing the web for Google Adwords guide and landed on this famous ebook of Perry Marshall and without thinking twice, i went ahead and purchased the ebook. So far i have not yet opened the ebook to read the contents 
.. i am an impulsive buyer. I did read a few pages of other ebooks he gives with this purchase and was reading about the BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONTENT WRITERS and COPYWRITERS.
To update about my Shaadi.com reward points, yes i did get my cheque from them, 2 weeks after the courier was sent to me, in the 3rd week of May. When i enquired, why the courier was taking so long to reach me, i was told that the area where i reside is beyond their limits… i was wondering.. which courier service they are using as i stay very near to this famous german bakery(it became more famous after the recent bomb blast) in pune.
On the personal front, well i have been just busy putting on more weight… so the official work and blogging has taken a back-seat.

I came to know about Quantacast last year and that is when I got my site quantified. Today while browsing through some other site, I reached this site and thought of checking out my traffic stats. I know it has gone down as I see the revenue going down. Thanks to this recession, people are not spending on ads and hence we publishers are also not getting the income like before. I am sure, the trend will change soon.
Twitter Traffic
This post on Twitter is long overdue. I remember creating many twitter accounts, when it came into market intitally. I was assuming that, very soon, this will become an important part of your markting tools. So I created all the possible accounts w.r.t my domain names and the required keywords for them. However as it happens always, I just created the accounts.. posted a few tweets and then just stopped using it.
Off late, everyday I was getting many followers added for a very popular user account I had created on Twitter. I hardly added any updates for that account, but since the keyword is so good, people just started following me. I then planned to start tweeting again. Before I go more into the details of my tweeting activities, for the newbies, let me first give a brief description of Twitter.

Hooked onto Squidoo
I have been neglecting this blog for a while with so many blog posts still dancing in my mind
Actually these days I am hooked onto this website Squidoo . I wonder, how I have missed noticing this wonderful platform for creating web pages instantly.. yes instantly, they say in just 60 seconds. So it takes just 60 seconds to publish a page on Squidoo and you can just write about anything, anything your like,love. Be it about your dog, your gardem, your neighbors, your community or just brag about how disciplined your kids are and how one can learn some tips from you, in bringing up disciplined kids. So the possibilities are vast.
The interesting thing, which makes everyone register on Squidoo is the fact that they let you earn money from your web pages. It is upto you, if you wish to donate the money to some charity fund. However they share the revenues which they earn from Google Ads and other ad networks they have. The percentage is very less but it is good money if your lens is really a hit and you have lots of traffic and everyone is dying to read your lens
