Bye bye 2009
… last day of the year 2009. A year has passed, some opportunities lost, some sacrifices made, happy moments shared, learnt new lessons of life…. overall it was a fruitful year. Did not achieve something great but it was a good year.
Time to look forward to a better tomorrow, a better 2010, a better life (read organized)! New year is the time when we all are busy making resolutions only to break it. Most of the people are not able to fulfil the resolutions.. i am one of them. But this coming year, my top priority is to be more organized and take out time for myself. Indulge in activities and hobbies which will make me happy.. yes be happy, have fun and enjoy life. Do not worry about the future and do not keep thinking about the past.. live the moment and enjoy the moment. This is what my little brother taught us in his short lifespan. We miss you brother.. each and every moment. I am sure you are in peace wherever you are and guiding us.
In terms of my earnings from my websites including earnings from Google, it was a great year as the earnings were much more compared to the previous years. I would love to write someday.. my earnings doubled this year…
maybe in 2010. I just need to find time and as I said be more organized, give specific time slot and plan things and EXECUTE it. Yes i do lot of planning and i am good in that, but somehow i am lacking when it comes to actual execution of the plan.
In 2010, i also plan to start out some venture on my own or with partnership with my sisters.. again many ideas in mind.. we just need to sit together, plan it and execute it. Yes, i also want to go on a long holiday with family in 2010, just leaving all the work behind, destination yet to be planned
I wish all of you a very happy and prosperous new year 2010. And yes BE HAPPY!!
Weekend in nature’s company
…. which I really love!!
Last weekend, after a long gap, we planned to go on a long drive around khadakwasla dam, towards, panshet. The view is beautiful especially during the rainy season. It is a great relief from the concrete city, where it is difficult to find greenery with so much development work going on, road widening projects, new 5 star and 7 star hotels coming up.
It was a good treat for the eyes to see green everywhere. Both DH and DS (read darling hubby and darling son) were not very much interested in this planned trip of mine and DS was not at all ready to get some snaps clicked also.
Anyway I did manage to click some lovely snaps of the beautiful scenery. Enjoy them

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi

Happy New Year 2009
This is just a very quick post to wish everyone a very happy and safe new year 2009. May we all live with peace and harmony. I wish to make this blog more popular and increase the traffic. I have not made any resolution for 2009, however I just plan to change my lifestyle a bit and try to be more fit and healthy.
On professional front, I just hope that the recession time is over soon and all the job less people get new and goog jobs very soon!! Wishing all the best to everyone, all my blog readers and their family.
Once again have a great year ahead.
Anant Chaturdashi
Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of the Ganeshotsav festival. For 10 days the Ganpati festival is celebrated and it is the most popular festival in the state of Maharashtra. This year I was not able to visit any of the Ganesh pandals , as I was not well and was on bed rest, so I just prayed at home. When we were staying in Bangalore after my marriage, we also used to celebrate Ganesh festival, used to get the Ganesha idol at home, pray everyday and then do the visarjan. However, we have stopped doing it since last 2 years and we just visit the local pandals and pray there.
Tata NEN Award for Hottest Startups in India
There is great news for all the startup companies in India. TATA NEN is giving India’s first ever people’s choice awards for startup companies. There are various categories for companies and the requirement is that it should be 5 or fewer years old, based in India and a standalone company. There is an expert panel who gives their expert rating but as the name says, it is people’s choice awards, so the winners will be selected by the people through votes.
Manipur - a beautiful state in India
I have not been regular on my blog since last few months. Though I wish to do regular posting, sometimes you just don’t find time. With projects to deliver, sites to manage and above all my cute little son, (who is always complaining that I spend more time in front of computer), finding time for my own blog or myself takes a backseat. And on top of it.. I am having severe backaches since last so many days. Finsihed the X-Ray and the blood test etc.. but all report says normal.. maybe I just need some rest!!
What the Font?
As I mentioned earlier in some of my posts, there is a designer in me, who is always trying to learn and acquire new design skills so it’s tough fight between my mind and my heart.. my mind is technical and my heart is artistic.
In any designing project, proper usage of fonts plays a great role and I do have a vast collection of fonts. I often use this helpful site called what the font, if I am looking for any specific font and I am not able to find the name of the font, just point the URL of the desired image or just upload the image with the font text and they will show you all matching font results. Like for instance I have to redo my KidsandBibs logo and I am not able to recall the font used as it has been so long and my desktop and laptop got formatted n number of times. So as usual, the best place for me was to goto whatthefont, and I have found something very close to it.
I thought of sharing this piece of information with you all, so that next time if you want to find out that cute or artistic font and want to use it in your project, you know where to check it out.
