Weekend in nature’s company
…. which I really love!!
Last weekend, after a long gap, we planned to go on a long drive around khadakwasla dam, towards, panshet. The view is beautiful especially during the rainy season. It is a great relief from the concrete city, where it is difficult to find greenery with so much development work going on, road widening projects, new 5 star and 7 star hotels coming up.
It was a good treat for the eyes to see green everywhere. Both DH and DS (read darling hubby and darling son) were not very much interested in this planned trip of mine and DS was not at all ready to get some snaps clicked also.
Anyway I did manage to click some lovely snaps of the beautiful scenery. Enjoy them

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi

Happy New Year 2009
This is just a very quick post to wish everyone a very happy and safe new year 2009. May we all live with peace and harmony. I wish to make this blog more popular and increase the traffic. I have not made any resolution for 2009, however I just plan to change my lifestyle a bit and try to be more fit and healthy.
On professional front, I just hope that the recession time is over soon and all the job less people get new and goog jobs very soon!! Wishing all the best to everyone, all my blog readers and their family.
Once again have a great year ahead.
Anant Chaturdashi
Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of the Ganeshotsav festival. For 10 days the Ganpati festival is celebrated and it is the most popular festival in the state of Maharashtra. This year I was not able to visit any of the Ganesh pandals , as I was not well and was on bed rest, so I just prayed at home. When we were staying in Bangalore after my marriage, we also used to celebrate Ganesh festival, used to get the Ganesha idol at home, pray everyday and then do the visarjan. However, we have stopped doing it since last 2 years and we just visit the local pandals and pray there.
Tata NEN Award for Hottest Startups in India
There is great news for all the startup companies in India. TATA NEN is giving India’s first ever people’s choice awards for startup companies. There are various categories for companies and the requirement is that it should be 5 or fewer years old, based in India and a standalone company. There is an expert panel who gives their expert rating but as the name says, it is people’s choice awards, so the winners will be selected by the people through votes.
