TVIExpress – search trends
Google Trends analyzes a portion of Google web searches to compute how many searches have been done for the terms you enter, relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. We then show you a graph with the results – our Search Volume Index graph.
Located beneath the Search Volume Index graph is our News reference volume graph. This graph shows you the number of times your topic appeared in Google News stories. When Google Trends detects a spike in the volume of news stories for a particular search term, it labels the graph and displays the headline of an automatically selected Google News story written near the time of that spike. Currently, only English-language headlines are displayed, but we hope to support non-English headlines in the future.
Below the search and news volume graphs, Trends displays the top regions, cities, and languages in which people searched for the first search term you entered.
I was looking for search trends for some of my keywords, when I checked the trend for TVI Express. Well I did this search because after my post on TVIExpress, I am getting lots of visitors coming to my site through this keyword and I really wanted to have a look and check out what is the trend for this search term “TVIExpress“. Measure your traffic with Quantcast
Quantcast is a new breed of audience service, focused on helping buyers and sellers quantify the real-time characteristics of digital media consumers against which they can activate addressable advertising solutions. Quantcast provides publishers, marketers and agencies unmatched capabilities to measure, organize, discover and transact based on directly-measured traffic and inferred audience data.
I came to know about Quantacast last year and that is when I got my site quantified. Today while browsing through some other site, I reached this site and thought of checking out my traffic stats. I know it has gone down as I see the revenue going down. Thanks to this recession, people are not spending on ads and hence we publishers are also not getting the income like before. I am sure, the trend will change soon.
The Favorite Icon favicon.ico
I was quite used to seeing the IE icon so far on the internet Explorer browser.And I never bothered to update my favicon.ico files. However, after using Google Chrome (my favorite browser), the favicons have been more prominent, those lovely small 16×16 icons showing in my bookmarks.
Yesterday I planned to create favicon for all my websites and found out that we really need to use this ICO (Windows Icon) Format plugin to be able to create favicon in Photoshop. So I went ahead and created all the icons and was happy with my self. Again for the newbies, if your icon does not show after uploading them, try pressing Ctrl+F5 and your icons will show.I am sure you can see one for this website too

Komli Ad Network Review
In one of my earlier posts, I had mentioned about trying out Komli and DGM, the indian ad networks. It has been been more than 3 weeks now, however I am not satisfied with the way Komli has been performing on my site.
I did research a lot and from most of the online review, I have read about Komli, they all say the same thing which is “Stay Away from Komli” . It is true that I did not dedicate my whole ad inventory to Komli, I was just checking out, but I would also like to mention that I did try putting their ads on the main pages, and the most popular pages. However the performance was very poor. Forget about clicks, but as they say, they pay based on CPM based impressions, but the CPM cost is also pathetic. Imagine getting 29 INR for 46K impressions.

Make Money Online
This year i plan to double my online income. For me, the best source of income has been Google. I tried Chitika for a few days, and then stopped. ClickBank, just a few days, then stopped. Google Affiliates also, i am not too interested.
Kontera is just an extra income, say 5% of Google. In the year 2009, i plan to start a few more interesting websites all related to moms and the women community. One of them will be related to earning money online
Recently i came to know about a few ad networks and affiliate programs for the Indian websites. The first was one Komli. I got to know about this company when one day, i got an email from a Komli employee, asking about a campaign to be run on my websites kidsandbibs.in and kidsandbibs.com . It was good to know that my sites are becoming popular. My main traffic source is US and India. I came to know that Komli is an ad network for online publishers and advertisers. Another company was Tyroo. I applied with KidsandBibs.in, but it was rejected. I don’t know the reason. Well it is their loss
