Anant Chaturdashi

Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of the Ganeshotsav festival. For 10 days the Ganpati festival is celebrated and it is the most popular festival in the state of Maharashtra. This year I was not able to visit any of the Ganesh pandals , as I was not well and was on bed rest, so I just prayed at home. When we were staying in Bangalore after my marriage, we also used to celebrate Ganesh festival, used to get the Ganesha idol at home, pray everyday and then do the visarjan. However, we have stopped doing it since last 2 years and we just visit the local pandals and pray there.

Last year I had started this blog beingasha.com during the Ganesh festival only and I had done a post on the same with the post title as “People bid adieu to Ganpati Bappa” and till date, I get so many hits on my blog for Ganpati related keyword searches. And the hits increased during these Ganpati festival time.
