Make Money Online

This year i plan to double my online income. For me, the best source of income has been Google. I tried Chitika for a few days, and then stopped. ClickBank, just a few days, then stopped. Google Affiliates also, i am not too interested.

Kontera is just an extra income, say 5% of Google. In the year 2009, i plan to start a few more interesting websites all related to moms and the women community. One of them will be related to earning money online

Recently i came to know about a few ad networks and affiliate programs for the Indian websites. The first was one Komli. I got to know about this company when one day, i got an email from a Komli employee, asking about a campaign to be run on my websites kidsandbibs.in and kidsandbibs.com . It was good to know that my sites are becoming popular. My main traffic source is US and India. I came to know that Komli is an ad network for online publishers and advertisers. Another company was Tyroo. I applied with KidsandBibs.in, but it was rejected. I don’t know the reason. Well it is their loss .

The third company was DGM. It is an affiliate network. I am not too good with affiliate marketing or rather i have not really tried. I don’t have the patience to wait for a month and see if any sale has happened or not. For me, i believe in quick results. Someone clicked, and money comes in my account… INSTANT.

In between this research, i came across a company called Xcel Online; i joined the affiliate program and also put the code in 1-2 pages on my site. But when i tried to login to my affiliate account, it kept giving me error, saying that there are too many connections. This made me think, how the company is going to manage the tracking and other related code, when their website itself is not allowing signing in due to connection issues. I decided not to carry on and instantly removed all the code for affiliate tracking.

With DGM, it has been just 3 days. Have not really seen any result so far. But it is too early. I also see just a few advertisers and out of that I had applied to a few companies, got selected in some campaigns and waiting for other campaigns to be approved. I was particularly interested in Shoppers Stop, as it is a good brand and they have good products on sale. For DGM also, i got a call from one of their affiliate executive to run IN.com campaigns. I gave my approval. Let us see how it goes. I have promised myself to be patient this time and at least allow the campaigns to run for a month or two and see how it works.

It has been 2 days with Komli and so far it looks good. The reporting seems to be a bit slow. I think they update every 24 hours or so, though i have been told that it is updated every 2 hours. But in my reporting section, till this blog posting time, i could see only yesterday’s impressions. However i really appreciate the support. They have been very quick and instantly replied to all the queries I had.

So i hope to learn the tips and tricks of affiliate marketing this year and i wish that I get good success in this, as i am getting with Google.
